Your privacy is important to us — by “us” we mean Reigning Champ Enterprises Inc., doing business as Reigning Champ (also referred to as "RC", “we”, or “our”). We developed this Cookie Policy so you can understand how we (and our partners) use cookies (and other similar technologies) and what information we use cookies to collect.

1. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small pieces of data that online services put on your device to gather information about how you use the site, to identify you the next time you visit, and to give you a better browsing experience. Cookies enable web browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to remember which pages you visit and allow you to set preferences on some sites. Every time you visit the site, your web browser sends these cookies back so the site can recognize you and remember details specific to you and your user preferences. Cookies might recognize when you visit pages on our site or others’ sites. We and our partners also use other technologies that work in a similar way to cookies.

Cookies can be limited to a single session, or they can be “persistent.” A persistent cookie stays in your browser so that it can be read when you return. Persistent cookies help us recognize you as an existing user; that makes it easy for you to use our online services without having to sign into your account each time you visit. Session cookies last only as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser).

In addition to cookies, we and our partners also use other technologies, including data stored on your web browser or device, identifiers associated with your device, and other software that have similar purposes to cookies. These include:

  • Pixel Tags. Pixel tags (also called beacons or pixels) are small blocks of code installed on (or called by) a web page, email, or ads. Pixel tags can retrieve information about your device and browser and how you interact with it. This includes, for example, information about your device type, operating system, browser type and version, website visited, time of visit, referring website, IP address, whether you’ve opened an email or clicked on an ad, and other similar info, including the small text file (the cookie) that uniquely identifies the device. Pixel tags allow third parties to set and read browser cookies from a domain that they don’t operate and collect information about visitors to that domain, typically with the permission of the domain owner. Pixel tags might also be used to test different experiences and content on websites.
  • Local and Session Storage. Local and session storage refers generally to other places on a browser or device where information can be stored by websites, ads, or third parties (such as HTML5 local storage and browser cache).
  • IP Addresses. IP addresses, (short for “internet protocol”), are assigned by internet service providers to every device connected to the internet. Website owners, including RC and the third-party analytics and the ad-serving services we use, have access to users’ IP addresses and the general location of those IP addresses. Using IP addresses, we and our partners can identify the country, region and city where users are connecting to the internet as well as the internet service provider they use. IP addresses can be used for geolocation, and depending on the service, to support security, deliver localized content, measure Site use, or provide advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law.
  • Device Identifiers. Your browser, device or the services used on our Sites may assign identifiers that help distinguish your browser or device from others. We and our partners may use these identifiers in ways similar to cookies, including to maintain sessions, remember preferences, measure use of our Sites, prevent fraud and support advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law.

The technologies above help our online services work better and help us create services and advertising. The technologies might be delivered to your device by us, or by a third party. Some of these third parties are our carefully selected web analytics or advertising partners. Third parties may use cookies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the Internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads and for the purposes set out in their privacy policies (e.g. to better understand online behavior and trends and improve their products and services). We’ll talk more about first-party and third-party cookies further down in this Cookie Policy.

We and our partners may link any of the information we collect through cookies and other technologies with information you provide, with information we obtain from other sources, including from both online and offline data providers (such as demographic data and interest-based data), and where you agree to this through your privacy settings on social-media sites, with information obtained from social media. This information is gathered by how you use social media, such as what you post about, message about, or comment on.

3. What Information Is Collected?

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about how you interact with and navigate our sites, as well as information about the device and software you use to do so. This kind of information is called “usage information” in this Cookie Policy and can, for example, include data on the following:

  • Site interactions including language preferences, timestamps, clicks, scrolling, browsing times, searches, referrals, and exit pages.
  • Browser and device information, such as IP addresses, unique device IDs, user IDs, processing capabilities, manufacturer and model, language and other regional settings, geographic location, screen resolution and similar settings.
  • Your connection to online services, including details about the network and software you’re using, such as browser type and version, operating system name and version, ISP, and your preference settings.
  • How sites and apps perform for you, including problems you encounter, such as loading errors and response times.

This information may be combined with other information we or our partners hold about you, for instance, to support our marketing efforts by serving you RC ads or marketing messages based on how you’ve browsed with us or bought from us before.

4. Who Places Cookies on My Device?

While we do not have full control over third-party cookies, it is important to note that they are only set with your permission. When you visit our site, cookies placed by us are called “first-party cookies.” If our partners place cookies on your device during your visit, these are called “third-party cookies.” These cookies originate from third parties rather than us. For example, when you visit an RC site and consent to third-party cookies, Google Analytics sets their own cookies on your web browser. These record your visit to our online services and this information is shared with other organizations, such as TikTok, or Pinterest, which we use to personalise and optimize user experience.

5. Cookies We Don’t Control

We don’t control third-party cookies and can’t remove them — cookies can only be set by the original party. You can read our partners’ privacy policies and cookies policies linked above to ensure you’re comfortable with how they use cookies. Read on to learn more about companies that provided third-party cookies on our online services and how they use information about you.

Some pages have content embedded from other providers such as the Pinterest “save” button. Be aware that these service providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies and we don’t control them.

6. How Can I Manage Cookies?

Opt-out of RC first-party cookies

If you wish to withdraw your consent to any of our non-strictly necessary cookies after our initial collection of your consent you can:

  • Through our Cookie Preference Center here: Manage Cookies.
  • Contact our Chief Privacy Officer using the contact details set out below.

Facebook

You can find information about how to manage Facebook cookies here.

Google Analytics

To learn more about opting out of and preventing your data from being collected and used by Google Analytics, which uses cookies as well as your IP address, click here.

Internet browsers

You can find information about how to enable or disable cookies on your Internet browser provider’s website via your help screen. We’ve provided links to some common ones here:

These websites may also provide further information on how you can opt-out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting: https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Do Not Track Features

Some newer Internet browsers incorporate Do Not Track (DNT) features. If activated, these features send a signal to the services you visit indicating that you don’t want to be tracked. Those services (or content on them placed by third parties) may continue to engage in activities you may view as tracking, even though you’ve expressed this preference, depending on the service’s privacy practices.

At this point, there isn’t a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, so RCdoes not currently respond to browser DNT signals.

However, as we mentioned, many Internet browsers allow you to reject, manage, and delete cookies. You may also be able to manage similar technologies, like HTML5, by changing your browser settings.

Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising won’t necessarily entirely prevent information from being collected automatically on our online services, and it doesn’t mean you’ll receive fewer ads or stop ads from being displayed. Instead, the ads you see will no longer be interest based and, therefore, might be less relevant to your interests. Also, if you do choose to disable cookies (other than our strictly necessary cookies which cannot be switched off), please be aware that not all of our site features may operate as intended.

Will this Cookie Policy ever change?

We’re constantly working to develop new and improved services that will help us create better and better experiences for you. We may also change our practices over time as our business and technology evolves. Occasionally, this means that we’ll need to provide you with new or additional information about the ways in which we collect and use your personal data. As a result, we may amend this Cookie Policy from time to time.

If we materially change our Cookie Policy, we’ll take steps to inform you of the change in advance. We may do this through email, notices on our site, or through some other means.

If you’re unhappy with the changes we propose, you’re free to stop using our services or to manage cookies and similar technologies the way we’ve outlined in this Cookie Policy.
